With all-electric heat generation, a central heating boiler or mains gas connection is no longer required. The heating system is fully powered by electricity and heats the building spaces and water independently throughout the year. Optionally, the system can also provide cooling. The heat pump is powered by sustainable energy (e.g. sunlight) and/or electricity. Businesses can easily save 50% on their energy bills with an All-Electric installation.
When designing and installing an all-electric installation for an energy-intensive building, Hellebrekers typically combines air-to-water heat pumps with water-to-water heat pumps. Rather than using geothermal sources for the latter, we reuse waste water and indoor air to generate sufficient energy. We also work with our own in-house developed control software to ensure that the various installation components work together perfectly.
Hybrid
An air-to-water heat pump uses air as a thermal source and extracts heat from the outside air via an outdoor unit. Air-to-water heat pumps require only a limited amount of power. Under the right conditions, the efficiency can be as high as 400%: in other words, it takes 1kW of auxiliary power to generate 4kW of heat.
Water-to-water heat pump system
A water-to-water heat pump uses water as a thermal source and extracts energy from the air, soil or groundwater via a heat exchanger. This energy is then converted into usable energy to heat the building. Heat pumps are extremely efficient, so a significant reduction in the use of fossil fuels is possible. The heat pump system obviously runs on electricity, but when (part of) the required power is generated on site, with solar panels for example, the total power consumption can still be reduced.
Air to water heat pump system
An air-to-water heat pump uses air as a thermal source and extracts heat from the outside air using an outdoor unit. Air-to-water heat pumps require only a limited amount of electricity. Under the right conditions, their efficiency can reach up to XX%: in other words, it takes 1kW of auxiliary power to generate XXkW of heat.
