Throughout this process, we apply a science-based approach. Especially in existing situations, accurate measurement and determining the existing and desired capacity is important. The available capacity is determined by the customer’s contracted capacity with the power grid operators. We have a large team of engineers who enjoy the challenge of analysing your energy issue and using that information to propose an appropriate implementation design.

Your power supply

When you decide to electrify your business and/or build a new facility, you need a power connection that matches your requirements. But a reliable power connection on its own will not be sufficient. Due to grid congestion, you also need to agree how much electricity you will take from the grid and how much you will feed back into the grid. We facilitate this process for you, from the initial request to the grid operators to realisation of the consumer substation and transformer substation to the final connection in your commercial building. We always take into account peak shaving (reducing peak loads on the grid), infrastructure and possible future in-house expansion.

Making alterations to the existing infrastructure requires modification or replacement of distribution cabinets. Proper preparation and planning of the work is important here. Your business operations must continue with minimal inconvenience.

Solar panels

A solar panel or photovoltaic panel (PV panel) is a panel that converts solar energy into electricity. Through the use of PV panels, local energy needs can be met without emitting greenhouse gases or other harmful substances. Both high energy prices and the current energy transition make solar panels an attractive and effective sustainability measure.

Hellebrekers provides solar panels as a complete system that fully or partially meets the energy needs of your building.

Sustainable installation

Sustainable installation components are the foundation of any electrical installation. It all starts with an efficient design that minimizes material usage and incorporates sustainably produced materials.

The energy required by a customer is sustainably generated through PV panels installed on their building. Additionally, PV panels can be used as a canopy for parking spaces or bicycle shelters. If the roofs are unsuitable for standard PV panels, we use lightweight PV panels.

Feeding energy back into the grid is becoming less profitable. Energy storage in lithium batteries or sustainable salt batteries provides a solution. By integrating energy storage systems such as batteries, surplus energy can be stored during periods of low demand and released during peak hours, reducing grid congestion. We also offer an energy management system that ensures PV panels generate no more energy than you consume.

For localized energy use, installing a heating panel is an excellent solution. Instead of heating the entire workspace, it provides a comfortable working environment through infrared heating in specific areas.

LED lighting

Lighting is important not only for visibility but also for how we experience a space. By using energy-efficient LED lighting, Hellebrekers’ customers benefit from lower energy bills in addition to good light output. A further benefit of LED lighting is that we can create any lighting experience the user desires with Red-Green-Blue-White (RGBW) luminaires. The light level is set to match the activities taking place in the room in question.

Intruder detection and fire protection

Unauthorised persons should be prevented from illegally entering a building. One possible solution is an intruder detection installation with an access control system that sounds an alarm if unauthorised persons do manage to gain access. Quick and appropriate action can then be taken in response. The existing camera surveillance set-up (CCTV) can be linked to the system for image material. Also, with the help of an access control system, any visitor can be allowed into the areas for which the visitor has authorisation.

Reliable fire alarm systems ensure a safe (work) environment and are a crucial factor in any building. A high-quality fire alarm system is indispensable. This type of system alerts you immediately in the event of a fire so that everyone can leave the building safely. In addition, the fire alarm system immediately indicates the location of the fire.

Domotics

Domotics is a term for home and building automation that connects and controls electronics in and around a building; in other words it automates building-related processes. Sensors, software and hardware enable flexible and remote use or control of electronic applications in (the area surrounding) the building. In the building, for example, domotics can be used to control the heating, ventilation and lighting functions. This approach can reduce the number of control panels mounted throughout the building. Domotics applies all the capabilities of industrial automation in the context of a building.

Grounding & lightning strike protection

To ensure safety, hazards of all kinds must be deflected or mitigated. Lightning strike protection is important in this context. It channels away the very high current released in a lightning strike to avoid a build-up of energy capable of causing a fire or other damage. In addition to lightning strike protection, proper protective grounding is essential. Protective grounding consists of a highly conductive electrical connection between exposed parts that become energised in the event of a fault and ground. In the event of an insulation fault, any short-circuit current flows through this ground connection, protecting the user against electric shock.
