The personal data we process
Hellebrekers B.V. processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide that data to us yourself. This is the case, for example, if you are a customer of Hellebrekers or respond to a job listing. This includes items of personal data such as:
- First and last name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Address details
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Location data
- Information about your activities on our website
- Bank account number
The reason why we process personal data
Hellebrekers B.V. may process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To handle your payment
- To contact you by telephone or email as needed to perform our services
- To inform you of changes to our services and products
- To deliver goods and services to you
- To analyse your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website
- To handle disputes and have checks performed (such as accounting audits)
- To comply with legal obligations such as our tax return
Automated decision-making
Hellebrekers B.V. does not make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. This relates to decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without the involvement of a human (for example, an employee of Hellebrekers B.V.).
Economic Data Resources B.V. (EDR)
At the time you wish to become a customer, we provide your information to Economic Data Resources B.V. (EDR). EDR will issue an opinion on the creditworthiness of the company based on this data and pass on to us any negative comments regarding the board/management of the company. EDR uses this data to investigate the creditworthiness and contact information of you and your company. The retention time for personal data
Hellebrekers B.V. does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. We comply with the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data:
- Customer, employee: data retained under the current contract
- Customer (orders, technical drawings): retention period of a maximum of 10 years
- Former customer (customer details, invoices): statutory retention period of a maximum of 7 years
- Former employee (e.g. ID): statutory retention period of a minimum of 5 years
- Former employee (e.g. terms of employment): statutory retention period of a minimum of 7 years
- Interested party, no order but left data: retention period of a maximum of 5 years
Sharing personal data with third parties
Hellebrekers B.V. does not sell your data to third parties. We provide your data to third parties only if:
- this is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you
- there is a situation of payment arrears (for engaging a collection agency) or
- statutory obligations require this of us
We enter into a processor agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf, in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Hellebrekers B.V. remains responsible for processing of this nature.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. Information is stored in this text file. This information can be read by the website at the time of a subsequent visit. Hellebrekers uses the following cookies:
- Functional cookies, which ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remembers your preferred settings
- Analytical cookies, which ensure that our website matches visitors' needs as closely as possible by anonymously determining how they use our website (without invading your privacy)
- Tracking cookies, which ensure that targeted information about Hellebrekers B.V. can be displayed on external websites to visitors who previously visited our own website (re-marketing)

Right of access, rectification or deletion
You may object to the processing of your personal data by Hellebrekers B.V. or withdraw your consent to data processing, if given. In addition, you have the right to access, rectify or delete your personal data.
If you believe that we have inaccurate personal data about you, you may have that personal data rectified or removed. You can also ask us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.
You can make the aforementioned requests or lodge the aforementioned objection by sending an email, including your name, address and telephone number. To make sure that the request or objection actually comes from you, we require you to send a copy of your ID with the request or objection. When making the copy, make sure you obscure your passport photo, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the area with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport number and the Citizen Service Number (BSN). We will comply with your request unless we have a compelling legitimate interest for not deleting the personal data, which outweighs your privacy interest. Once we have deleted the personal data, for technical reasons we cannot immediately delete all copies of the personal data from our systems and backup systems. We may refuse to comply with the aforementioned requests if they are made unreasonably frequently, require unreasonable technical effort, or have an unreasonable technical impact on our systems or compromise the privacy of others.
Personal data security
Hellebrekers B.V. implements all reasonable and appropriate security measures to prevent the misuse of, loss of, unauthorised access to, unwanted disclosure of and unauthorised alteration of your personal data. If, despite the security measures, there is a security incident that is likely to adversely affect your privacy, we will inform you of the incident as soon as possible.
